Sound and balanced. It’s the kind of down-to-earth perspective that is badly needed in what are becoming contested spaces within moderate and liberal circles. We’ve got our own struggles with conservative politics down here in Florida, making fights between Democrats like those unfolding in Michigan and elsewhere look sadly defeating given the odds we face in national races after our primary battles. Perspectives like yours go a long way in helping to counter some of the false narratives and centering many of us on what truly matters as we approach the midterms.
We do not need more milquetoast politicians. Dems need gangsta politicians like the Rethuglicans have. It’s time to kick a$$ and take names. That conciliatory BS has got to go!!!
Since the Dem party caved to top1%/DNC, the Dem party political power is, at best, self cancelling. top0.1%/GOP fascist takeover knows top1%/DNC controlled Dems pose no substantive threat to its rapid consolidation and expansion. Regarding sham-ifying elections, top0.1%/GOP fascists’ objectives are disempowering pro-democracy forces, sowing more chaos, division & violence, and extracting more power & money from bottom99% - objectives clueless, spineless Dems do not even admit. Impossible for Dem party to fight a fundamental political battle they do not even acknowledge. Hell, Dems won’t even call plain sight top0.1%/GOP fascist takeover ‘fascist.’
In other words, shut up, don’t rock the boat and conform! Let’s not scare people! Let’s not try to shake things up and throw off the system that has failed us and lead us to this disaster in the first place! No thanks! I like the disruption that these new young candidates are offering and the new ideas and breath of fresh air!

The ONLY thing DSA can learn from the Establishment is how to not roll over and play dead. The Establishment needs to grow a pair.
